Namiki). It has a beautiful script letter r on the cap. Pilot was fond of etching script letters on their pen caps, especially ones made of steel. The r stands for reflex, nad this pen was designed with comfort in mind. It's a beautiful and subtle design, tough enough to take abuse, and long horus of use it's a hard working pen. The special textured grip on the nib section will allow you to hold the pen lightly and spare your hand muscles the stress that comes with all night writing marathons. Since you don't have to hold it so tightly, the pen will respond to the most subtle movements of your fingers, thus the name reflex. The nib is 14k gold. 14k gold is 58.5 percent pure gold (14/24 or 585/1000). The combniation of gold and steel is classic. Over 30 stroke kanji. The nib is 14k gold, a fine point, which is the most popular size on japanese pens where common kanji characters can have over 20 strokes, and uncommon ones can go over 30 strokes. According to the date stamp on the nib this pen was made in june of 1983. It has never been inked or used and still has its original price sticker. This pen takes standard iplot / namiki ink cartridges or an ink converter for those who prefer bottled ink. I will include an ink cartridge wiht this pen. Optional ikn converter i can include a pilot / namiki standard squeeze type converter (con-20) for an additional charge.
